Binding
Spiral and coil binding
A plastic or metal coil threads through punched holes along one edge. The book opens flat and can fold back on itself, which is why it belongs on a bench, a lectern, or a training table.
All six bindings are products we print. Next-morning production is not confirmed for every binding or quantity. Ask when you quote this one.

How the binding behaves
Coil is round stock wound through a row of holes. Plastic coil is the usual choice for manuals and workbooks. Metal coil is the same structure in a harder material. Pages stay put, the book lies open, and it can turn fully behind itself. Adding or removing a page means re-coiling the book, so this is a finished piece rather than a binder you edit every week.

Preparing this file
01
One PDF, in order
Send single pages in reading order. We punch and coil from that file.
02
Clear the binding edge
Keep type, folios, and important art off the punched edge. The quote confirms how much clear margin your size needs.
03
Coil material
Plastic and metal are different jobs. Name a preference in the notes. We confirm what is available when we quote.
04
Cover stock
If the cover should be heavier than the inside pages, say so. This site does not publish a paper list.
