Binding
Comb binding
A plastic comb locks into rectangular holes along one edge. The book opens reasonably flat, and the comb can be opened again when a page has to be added or replaced.
All six bindings are products we print. Next-morning production is not confirmed for every binding or quantity. Ask when you quote this one.

How the binding behaves
Comb binding uses a plastic spine with teeth that pass through rectangular holes. It lies fairly flat when open. Unlike coil or wire, the comb is meant to be opened later, so a manual can change without reprinting the whole book. It reads as a working document. If the piece should feel permanent, wire or a softcover is usually the clearer choice, and we can talk through that on the quote.

Preparing this file
01
Pages in order
A single PDF, one finished page after another, is the easiest file to punch.
02
Punch margin
Keep type and folios off the binding edge. We confirm the clearance with the quote.
03
Room to grow
If you expect to add pages, say how much the book may grow so the comb is not already full.
04
Color of the comb
Name a preference if you have one. Availability is confirmed when we quote, not from a public list.
