Binding
Saddle-stitched booklets
Sheets are nested, folded, and stapled through the fold. It is the structure for a thinner piece: a program, a newsletter, a lookbook, or a short catalog that does not need a square spine.
All six bindings are products we print. Next-morning production is not confirmed for every binding or quantity. Ask when you quote this one.

Event programs
A folded booklet that can be held in one hand during a ceremony or a conference.
Newsletters
Short multi-page notes that should feel made, not copied.
Lookbooks
A thin visual piece with a center fold and a staple, rather than a glued spine.
Short catalogs
A catalog that is still a booklet, before it grows into a perfect-bound book.
How the binding behaves
Saddle stitching gathers folded sheets into one booklet and drives staples through the spine fold. Each sheet contributes four pages, so the finished count works in multiples of four. A file that is not a multiple of four needs blank pages or a different binding. We confirm that when we quote, and you can still send the specification either way.
Quoted by Tri State Printer, based in Port Chester, NY. Most of the printing is produced off-site.
Preparing this file
01
Reading order, not spreads
Send single pages in reading order unless the file is already imposed. If it is imposed, say so in the notes.
02
Multiples of four
Plan the count in fours. A 10-page file is not a finished booklet until the blanks are decided.
03
The center fold
Type that sits in the fold is hard to read. Art that crosses the fold needs to be called out.
04
Cover
The outer four pages are the cover. If the cover stock should differ, say so.
